Legend of Dragoon

Last Updated: 02-24-2014

Almost every Dragoon fan I've come across just can't stand Miranda.

Dress: I used two patterns: Burda 7920 for the dress ( I shorted it. The pattern runs big so make sure to size down) and Butterick 5440 ( Size the sleeves down. They run big). The fabric is cotton sateen. I chose to have the wrong side of the fabric showing because I did not think that the shiny side would suit Miranda.

Belt: Or at least, that's what I'm calling it. Made from two layers of wonderflex for the base and one layer for the designs. It's held together with velcro. The headband is also wonderflex with velco used to keep it on my head.

Chest Armor: A layer of craft foam sandwiched between two layers of wonderflex. I made the breast foams by taking wonderflex scraps and molding them on a bra while I was wearing it to get a pattern. To get a more defined shape, I make poster board ones from the pattern and used those to shape the final product.

Quiver: Several layers of poster board was used to make the shape. The red fabric is vinyl. The arrows are dowels that were painted with acrylic paint.

Arm armor: Like the belt, it's two layers of wonderlex with scraps used for the designs. Both close with zippers.

Bow, wig, and gloves: Bought on ebay.

Boots: They are two parts, covers for the base boots and leg covers. The boots slip on and the leg covers have a zipper in the back.
