This has been a dream costume of mine for years and when my friend invited me trick or treating I thought it would be the perfect opportunity :)
The shirt, pants, and belt are from a thrift store. I spent a few hours distressing them with dye, paint, sand paper, concrete, and dirt. So much fun! I added the blood (acrylic paint) to the tears after looking at reference pictures again.
The weapons are props from Spirit Halloween. The shotgun was repainted, I popped some of the decorative hardware off, and filled in the holes where the screws are before the paint.
The chainsaw was trickier. It was completely disassembled, sanded, and repainted. It originally moved and made noise, but the movement was broken when I got it (woo 20% off!) and I sort of broke the sound thing while trying to put it back together :/ No worries, there's no sound in cosplay. There are still a few details I need to add, but I will finish those the next time I wear it.
The harness is made from leather and webbing straps riveted, glued, and snapped together. Holster is made from hand stitched oiltan leather. I may remake the holster since the shotgun sticks out pretty high.
The wig was from my Rynn cosplay, originally brown I dyed it black with iDye Poly. The texture turned out really stiff, I ended up using olive oil as a conditioner and it worked pretty well.
The make-up was a ton of fun. I've never really done FX make-up before this year and it's something I've always wanted to do. The cuts are actually a cotton ball torn up and twisted, glued with liquid latex and drenched in stage blood. The "dirt" is brown cream make-up; I may add more, and maybe some black next time.
For the Future:
I want to make a Necronomicon and add the final details to the chainsaw before I do a proper photoshoot, which is hopefully soon because I had SO MUCH FUN wearing this costume :D
