Amora the Enchantress

The Mighty Thor

Last Updated: 01-31-2013

First cosplay ever and my first con ever. I also did everything in a month.

I was convinced to go to NYCC 2012 with a Thor group and had tons of fun.

The outfit was made with lime green leather and suede, craft foam, and buckets of fabric paint. It's made up of painted tights, painted 4" stilettos, a fringed mini-skirt, leather corset, elbow length gloves, vambraces, the tiara, and a wig.

I'm so insanely pleased with how everything turned out, especially considering that I'd never done something like this before and had a limited amount of time. I'm already planning on revamping pieces of it for next year!

I pulled inspiration from several of her outfits instead of trying to recreate a specific variant. The vambraces were inspired by Stephanie Hans, the shoes and tights by Matthew Skipworth, hair from Warren Ellis's run, the crown by Michael Dooney, etc.

Won a group award at Marvel's official costume contest at NYCC with a bunch of Lokis.
