Resident Evil 6

As soon as I played through the game I wanted to make this outfit. Straywind had mentioned about doing a Sherry cosplay and Ada was really the only character I felt I could pull off well from RE6 to accompany her. We later talked The Letter Jay into being Jake Muller to join in as well. Needless to say, we had alot of fun!
This game actually showed a little more about Ada and made me appreciate her character alot more. Originally I never really liked her character all that much. There was too much mystery surrounding her and it was never clear which side she was really on.
The blouse I made from a vintage satin in deep red. I used the matte side facing out to eliminate the shine. The buttons I used were 100% identical to the ones in the game. I found gold buttons with 4 sew-on holes in the center and got them all for $1.
The pants are made of a high quality pleather that has a semi stretch. I made them low rise just like hers appear in the game. I added the silver zipper pockets in the back just like hers. They are indeed real functioning pockets.
The silver chain and rings I had laying around and just added them onto the pants.
The boots I had already and I added vinyl toppers to creat that pirate boot flap she has. The boots I have were almost the same (with the side buckles on them just like hers) I just needed the upper flap, so I added them.
The gloves I had as well and extended them to reach up to my elbow. Looking back at the pics I am going to make them even longer to ensure they tuck up further in the blouse.
I made the belt out of vinyl as well as the pouches.
The harness was made of a very dark brown vinyl, as was the gun holster and mag pouches.
The pendant was made of sculpy clay and then painted to look like a wooden charm. The vinyl necklace cord I had on hand already.
The wig I used was an Arda Magnum style in natural black. It is a more realistic looking black and has a reddish tone to it, much like Ada's hair has in the artwork. I straightened it with a garment steamer then cut it to the right length and styled it.
The costume is really comfy (minus the 4 inch heels). The pants fit so well, I got alot of good wear out of this one. I plan on wearing it alot more to future events!
