Tikal

Sonic Series

Tikal has been a favorite of mine since...well...since I knew who she was.
I'm not some huge Sonic fan, but I did play, read, and er watch enough to pick up most of her story.
My focus was mostly on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle since I played it quite a bit while growing up. Whenever my brother and I would play it together, I'd usually pick Tikal...and lose. Enough of the boring backstory.

This cosplay has its flaws-- major flaws, but this cosplay is also a huge leap forward for me. My mother usually sews my cosplays and she usually won't let me sew anything because she feels that I'll mess it up. Well it doesn't help if I can't do anything, so I bought my own fabric and started sewing the skirt at a time when she couldn't stop me.

The skirt itself isn't um terrible, but the designs on the skirt made me cringe. I wasn't sure of what to do for those; sewing them on was tacky, so I undid the seams and went crazy with the hot glue. Bad idea.

Despite that, the skirt doesn't look too bad from far away, and that makes me smile. I'm just happy that the skirt itself wasn't too bad. Flaws? Plenty. But trial and error; I guess that's how I work...? Maybe not.

This is actually a humanized version despite my nose, but when I look at it, all I see is the character although I don't have the tail.

Right um... the rest of the cosplay; it's okay. I mean the foam jewelry? Mnnn I just couldn't think of anything better that would come out to be that color. There's fake metal and so on, but I feel like this worked best.

The blue bracelets aren't supposed to be cloth but hey. The shoes, eh. The shirt was kind of just a shirt that I happened to have.

I actually did this with a group.
