May 4th is approaching, and dressing up for work was approved. Boushh is not going to work, since I need to be comfortably on my feet all day and be able to see properly, so I decided to get to work on a Jedi! Buying a high-quality saber from Ultra Sabers officially sealed the deal, and I'm currently doing an insane amount of research (many thanks to SithariRog from the Rebel Legion and Padawan's Guide! Y'all rock!!) to make my costume as screen-accurate as possible :)
[x]Inner Tunic: creme colored linen. It look beautifully to the sleeve pleating!~
[x]Outer Tunic: chocolate brown wool blend suiting.
[x]Tabards: Cornsilk moleskin fully lined with matching cotton and top-stitched. Attaches for extra security to the back of the obi, at the shoulders with snaps, and at the front with a hidden hook and eye.
[x]Hooded Robe: Over 8 yards of medium brown moleskin went into this sucker. All of the raw seams are fake serged.
[x]Obi: light beige gauze.
[x]Pants: found at a thrift store ;)
[x]Boots: I was insanely lucky to already have the PERFECT boots in my closet!!~
[x]Light-saber: bought from Ultra Sabers.
[x]Belt: I was on a massive time crunch for my first belt, which I just kind of threw together--got lots of compliments on my leather work, but I wanted something professional before deuting at a Con. My second belt was commissioned from Civilized Galactic Gear. I swear, not tryin' to sound like an add, but if you need a custom Jedi belt or pouch--go to this guy, he seriously rocks! :D
[x]Belt pouches: bought from a leather shop in Old Town San Diego.
