The king of fighters
Last Updated: 07-30-2013
I remade this costume because i'm a perfectionist and i wasn't 100% satisfied with my old costume. The leather looks a bit pinkish but in real life it's darker. I'm absolutely happy that i finally have this version i always wanted!
So i wore it at animefriends with my friend Marco as Foxy! We fulfilled one of our dreams (the other one is to pull out the complete NESTS team -we're doing it for the upcoming Festigame-) so despite the con was a total fail, we're happy with our costumes and sketch result. People liked us a lot <3
About the costume*********
-Leather (deep pink/burgundy)
-Stretchy leather (black)
Things i reused from my old costume:
-Bought on ebay ( i don't remember the seller)
-Acrylic paint (red and white)
-fabric paint (black, golden)
Well, this costume isn't a big deal at all. The patterns are quite simple as a normal jacket and semi-pants. I just made the suspenders double to make them more resistant. The buttons are 6 golden ones.
The black body outfit or cat(spy outfit (whatever you want to call it) was a bit difficult to sew because of the stretchy fabric, but it worked out pretty well with my sewing machine (i used almost only the zig zag stitch) and used a leggin + simple shirt patterns and sewed them together.
The tutorial i used for the gloves was SIMILAR to this one (a very old tutorial i can't find) but it will help you the same (all credits for the autor here ofcourse!) http://www.lazcosplay.com/tutorials/Kulagloves.html
For the shoes, i bought a pair of black shoes that were sewed with normal canvas fabric and leather on top, then added the details made out of golden leather and black paint, glued with liquid silicon.
The buckle was also made out of the golden leather, but first i used a cardboard base for it.
Finally for the stamp, i used the MI2 artbook version for reference http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZOVmowwjuHw/TOhPbfL7fAI/AAAAAAAAA0Q/XGkc6noDS4M/s1600/kulaback.jpg (the one in the right) and drew the pattern with chalk, then painted on it.
There isn't so much i could do, but i hope some of you could find this useful!
