Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East
Emerald green gown
Oz the Great and Powerful
Last Updated: 06-10-2015
The floor-length gown is made of emerald green sateen, emerald green chiffon and green taffeta for lining. The bodice has princess seams and a waist seam. The bodice and upper part of the skirt part are heavily embroidered with silver sequins, clear, silver-lined beads, light green gemstones and white pearls in different sizes. The neckline in front is decorated with black lace. The skirt part is slit in front. The three layered gown has a small train and closes in the back with hooks and eyes.
The bolero-like top is separate. It’s made of black lace and has a low stand-up collar made of black sateen. It’s decorated with hotfix rhinestones in different sizes in black and in different shades of green. The neckline is decorated with cock feather trims in black and green.
The cock feather appliqués at the shoulders are made of several rows of cock feather trims in black and green. They are sewn together and are attached to the bodice with the help of short braided straps.
Headdress and jewelry:
The headdress is made of a brass headband, different metal ornaments, black felt and cock feathers in black and green. The golden, square ornament is composed of different metal ornaments and the same Medusa ornament they used on the movie gown.
The same Medusa ornaments are also used for the ear rings, finger ring and the necklace (the chain of the necklace was made by a dear friend of mine - thank you, Monika!).
The purse is made of remnant fabric. I wear black half-boots and a curly hair piece with the gown.
