I created this costume from scratch, except for the pants which I was lucky to find at a used clothes store for only $5! XD! yay! (same color too, I couldn't believe it! It's like the weirdest shade of off-pinky-red) I was also lucky to find the fabric for the coat itself in the BARGAIN bin of a fabric shop (EXACT color...and good fabric texture too, like awesome! o_o !) for only $1.99 a yard. (I got 5 yards, in case I had to make the pants, which I was lucky to not have to do... XD pants are hard)
When I made his clock I decided to make it a purse too! It's got a zipper on the back and a compartment inside to put money, pocky, makeup, whatever for trips. ^__^
This was also my first costume with an actual toupee...and I was lucky to get a really nice 28 inch white w i g for only 12.99 from online, yay! To simulate Yue’s crazy-long ponytail, I got some crazy UBER cheap extensions for the rest of his hair (beyond the first hair tie) at a hair store online. It's meant for braiding hair extensions (for people). they were only 89 CENTS for two 4 FOOT long extensions!
The ears are a headgear apparatus that pokes through the w i g. You slide the ears over two little spikes on each side and they stay on really good.
The wings are also a strange, (semi-uncomfortable... o_O) cool contraption, designed by my father. (He's awesome with mechanics). They attach through the back of the coat, and are very lightweight, but still, it puts weight on my collarbone so I can only wear them for like an hour before I DIE....
There's a little story behind the shoes. I got them months before I even was considering Yue Bunny as a costume idea. They are slip-ins and have weird, cushiony bottoms. They are also EXACTLY like Yue Bunny's shoes... XD!! I was so happy when I remembered I owned them when I was making this costume. ^__^
