Oerba Yun Fang
Final Fantasy 13

fang was on my 'must cosplay' list since the very start
and it was my intention to make this cosplay very early because I thought it is easy to make (it has no real shape, only straight seams, sounds pretty easy)
I bought the first 7 meters of blue carneval-satin about a year ago and was very satisfied with my choice back than...
well I ended up doing maria hill first because of some friends xD
again and again I procrastinated this project (luckily) and 2 month ago I found this fugly satin I had bought a year ago in a corner...I was shocked what an ugly fabric I bought and holy moly now I have 7 meter of fugly satin left woho =__=
fang is a very important cosplay for me, and I wanted to make it as good as possible
so I ended up in several fabric stores, always looking for a cheap, not so shiny blue satin-fabric and finally found one
for the allovers with golden edges I decided to make them all myself, so I bought normal white fabric and gold looking carneval satin for the edges
the ordeal started because I had iron every edge first and it took ages to make
but in the end the ordeals looked exactely how I wanted them to look like
for the details I used normal textil-paint a very small brush and a looooot of patience
I've made a reference to get an even result
the white fabric I used for the border was a little transparend and I folded it several times so I was able to pull the reference between the layers so I saw it through the textile which made it so much easier to apply the details : )
to get the wrinkles fang's top-sari has I actually ironed them down, without a single seam
it holds perfectly and still looks very natural
the whole sari stays in place thanks to maaaaaaany safty pins xD
as for the shoes....
I ordered cheap overknee- boots, cut out the unnecessary parts in the front and fixed the messed up parts with worbla finest art (which was a very good decision : ) it still holds perfectly )
the gladiator part at the top was made out of real leather because I had some leftovers
at the end I coverd the shoes with leather spray which is the perfect solution for shoes : )
some parts are still missing which I'm going to edit /add until april next year
hope these informations are helpfull
