Ice King

Adventure Time

I made the Ice King as a spur of the moment sort of thing but I really liked how it ended up turning out. I mean I literally woke up one morning and my first thought of the day was that I wanted to cosplay the Ice King. He's almost entirely made out of fleece, with the exception of the fabric used to cover the head (which is 100% cotton), the gloves (flannel) and socks (normal sock material). The head/mask is made out of foam form, the same material was used to make the crown, which was entirely made by my awesome cousin. The jewels are cardboard painted with acrylics. The eyes are actually see through, although vision is very limited as they are made of thin, white mesh material. I'm not quite his body type so I made a bodysuit out of memory foam, you know that layer of stuff you put on top of your mattress to make it a bit more comfortable? Yeah, that stuff. The robe drapes over that and it all makes up the body form. I think it took me about a month to make the whole thing, and I had loads of fun cosplaying the Ice King, even if it was like my own personal sauna in there.

And oh yeah. The eyebrows move...sort of. I'm still working out the minor kinks.
