"Sometimes I think I’d like to adopt a little baby. So I could abandon it at a mall."
Okay, I'm officially stoked for this group cosplay. I get to build most of this costume from left-over fabric in my stash, and then I'm raiding my Dad's garage and the shipping room at work for the rest. So, basically all I have to actually BUY for this costume is about a yard of duck cloth and a wig :) You'll notice parenthesis on every piece, as it is a "dress" XD
"Bodice": In order to be a bit more modest, since I don't want a costume malfunction at such a large and crowded convention, I plan on creating a plunge, push-up corset with left-over fabric in my stash and then covering it with masking tape. So, basically, still risque, but more secure and within the theme, haha.
"Halter": an aluminum foil dryer duct hose with more masking tape "decor." I plan on using E6000 to hold it together and having it loop over my head.
"Skirt": creating a base skirt with silver lame lined with cotton and then layering on a "petticoat" of bubble wrap sheets.
Fascinator: A CD with a bubble wrap flower and veil. Will attach with a clip.
Wig: ordering from Arda.
Heels: Picking up a pair of white stilettos.
[x]Babou: I love being so close to the SD Zoo--they have a store there with every stuffed animal made :D
[x] Bag of Groovy Bears
