Sleeveless Mustafar outfit

Star Wars: Episode III

Last Updated: 06-15-2014

This outfit is made in cooperation with a dear friend of mine. He has a passion for costume design and has turned his talent into a career as tailor.

Sleeveless top and gauntlets:
The sleeveless top is made of sand yellow faux suede, sand yellow cotton batiste and brown faux leather. It has a shawl collar, a fitted bodice with double princess seams, an inverse V-shaped empire waist and a wide skirt part which is lined with sand yellow cotton batiste. The hem, armholes and all seams, except the waistline, have a double topstitching seam as seam decoration. The top is decorated with a brooch at the neckline and closes in the back with an invisible zipper.
Brown faux leather straps wrap around the bodice and cross over in front and in back. There’s a decorative buckle in front and a hook and eye closure in the back. The brooch and buckle were a lucky find on ebay.
The gauntlets are made of the same faux suede than the top. Only the left one is hand embroidered with the Naboo symbol.

The light ivory pants are ready-made pants which are made of a cotton stretch fabric. The pants already had an additionally front and back seam, so that only the double topstitched seam decoration had to be added.

Hairpiece, Boots and purse:
The hairpiece consists of two twistbraided buns and a long braided ponytail which is tied with faux leather straps. I wear brown faux suede boots and a purse made of remnant fabric with the outfit.
