This was the first time I had ever dressed up for a film, and did it mainly on a whim. I was hunting in the fabric store for some material for my Wolverine costume, when I came upon this nifty texured polyester, that looked heavier than it actually was.

"That's pretty cool." I thought. "That would make a great preist coat like the one Kenau wears in the Matrix Reloaded preveiw. I wonder if I could make a coat in the...2 days before the film."

And, to my personal amazement, I did.

After watching the film (back to back showings with two different sets of friends from two different cities), and noticing the differences between my coat and Neo's, I set about altering it.

I added another yard or two of fabric to the skirt of the coat (gotta love that swoop), but I kept the buttons off. The buttons ruin the simplicity of the design, you ask me.

I did replace the hook-and-eye closures I had with velco, which is far more comfortable and looks a lot better.

I'm keeping the stompy boots, though. I thought the ankle-high patent leathers used in the movie looked stupid
