This is another one of those designs that is deceptively simple looking; one that you don't realize how much stuff is on it until you start having to make it.
I started with all the crap on the witch's hat. The gold crown and ghost were sculpted from Fimo (By Sumikins and myself, respectively) and then baked and sanded. Then I made silicon molds of them and resin cast them. The pumpkin, star, and pink lolllipop I luckily was able to buy pre-made molds for. Once cast, all of the hat decorations I hand painted and for the crowns, even coated in glitter. The crown has two pinbacks. The pumpkin has two pinbacks and all of the other lollipops are glued onto the back of the pumpkin. The beads on the lollipop sticks are simple pony beads. I decided to coordinate the colors of the pony beads with the girls they belong to, instead of making them all the same color since I thought that it would be cuter. So Umi got blue, Nozomi got purple, Hanayo got green, Honoka got orange, and Kotori got pink. :3
RikkuGrape made a pattern and tutorial for the witch hats for us so they could all match. I followed her tutorial and then made the hat bow/ribbon thing with extra fabric from Eli Ebbert's Eli costume.
Since my shirt didn't have to match anyone else's, I patterned it out and sewed it together myself. All of the pinstriped fabric was hand-painted to have gold pinstripes since we couldn't find any nice pinstriped fabric in the right olors. All of the gold bias tape was made by hand with gold crepe back satin from JoAnn.
I patterned out the cape skirt and painted the swirlies on with freezer paper stencils. All of the gold stars on all 9 costumes were resin cast by me. Each of the girls glued and assembled them after I cast them. They have jewelry loops on top so they can all be hand stitched to the costumes on the hats and capes.
I sewed the ruffled trim onto the tops of the socks, which were purchased on eBay. The shoe cuff fabric was found and provided by Deanna Lee so they would all match. The shoe cuffs just tuck into the shoes. The white loopie trim was glued onto the shoes and the heels were painted gold. We decided against the pointy toe boots because of time constraints and because we didn't like them. :P
