This costume was a challenge!!! The only usable pattern was for the bodysuit underneath, which was modified at the joints for the red sections.
Overall, I can put the costume on by myself except for the chest piece. It zips in the back and I can't reach. The chest is the best part though, cause my father helped me rig working breast missiles. Rob Baranek gave me these foam ice cream poppers that have a spring trigger. Dad and I attached them to a bustier and ran string down through loops so I could pull and the "missiles" popped off. They didn't go far, cause the missile caps were too heavy, but at least they worked!
The head was also interesting. We took a heavy duty costume hockey mask and covered it with spandex then attached that to a baseball cap. Foam, fabric and padding later, I've got a funny shape head piece with minimal stitching and a cockpit in the forehead. It was awesome!
