Sometimes simple and elegant is the way to go. This costume has had two versions, the second of which was made for a Holiday special podcast at the FUNimation offices. It's an understated costume for a complex character. I really should take this out to more cons because it's quite a fun costume!

People ask me a lot about the claws and let me state they are ghetto fabulous. They are made from plastic canvas, steel wire (on the inside sandwiched between two sheets) and black electrical tape all wrapped around. They attach to a glove that slips into my gauntlets. There are two sets of hands for this costume and it's easy to change from one to another. The claws cost about two dollars max and have held up rather well over the years!

I've got two versions of makeup when I wear this as well. My favorite is a Kryolan TVWHITE base with red lipstick. The hair is a Scarlet wig in 1B from CosWorx.

The oroborous symbol is made from shiny red mylar typefabric and secured with eyelash glue. This is infinitely easier than trying to draw it in red each time I want to cosplay!
