From 2003.

I had wanted to reuse the white wig I'd bought for Urd, so I was trying to think of other characters with long, white hair. I decided to make an Amalthea costume - but then I decided the Urd wig wasn't right (didn't have bangs), so I bought a whole new wig, so the original reason for it went right out the window, LOL.
(it was a good thing I had both white wigs, though - they came in useful for my Hild costume the next year!)

The dress was made using a pattern. It was fairly simple. The trim was all bought and added. The forehead symbol was painted on using a stencil.

I wore this at Katsucon 2003. This costume wins the award for having travelled to the most conventions, yet having never got worn at any of them -- I also took it to Dragoncon 2003, SDCC 2004 and Dragoncon 2004, but didn't wear it at any of them. One of these days...
