I love this costume. This was my third costume, and definitely one of the most difficult I've worked on. All the little accessories were hard to keep track of, and that confetti dot material can be a bear to work with. Especially when you have no clue what you're doing, which I never do when I start things like this. ;)
Beryl has gone through quite a few revisions since her debut, and hardly looks like the same costume I started with. I've grown a lot as a seamstress working with this costume, and it's fun to see how it's progressed through the past few years.
I started this crazy project before Katsucon in 2004, and I still don't consider it finished. Not that I'm unhappy with anything about. It's just that everytime I look at the sparkly dress, I think of more things I still want to add or improve. I have a feeling this one will be at 90% forever.
