Luckily, instead of having to buy fabric, my friend had a nearly perfect red jogging suit that she gave me for this cosplay. The t-shirt and shoes were things I already had. Definitely, the most difficult object to Hiyori was creating that hollow mask. It took a VERY long and difficult process, but I was/am extremely satisfied with the results. I glued a clip inside so it would hang from my hair (when pulled back).
The sword was made entirely out of cardboard, hot glue, and a a few dowel rods down the middle. Unfortunately on the way to AnimeFEST 2006, it was damaged and became slightly limp in the middle of the blade... D: (still useable).
