As I've mentioned before, I've been doing
a lot of hoping to cosplay for a very long
time, and have been trying methods and
ways of doing so. It's kinda difficult when
one does it for the first time, last year I
went as a catgirl maid with a collar and
leash and a pink wig and ears and a tail.
I am simply amazed at how many different
approaches to cosplaying there is. I have
no skill or talent in sewing, which is really
hard because to make a costume is what
one needs. ^^;; However in a last try of
attempt, I found myself a pink frilly dress.
One thing I have found over anime con's
seen and been to, is that simple is best.
Also a price that is flexible, that allows
both myself and character to look and
move freely as if I could be wearing the
costume over and over again for other
outings and never to not be used again.
At first I got often frustrated with things
and today was different, while down at
the beach...down in the expensive part
of White Rock, I found this pink frilly dress.
I actually fell in love with this on a whim
since I had a great idea of wearing this
for Anime Evolution, and now with this
for a costume I will debut this at the con.
I think and have decided to make this
an original costume, much more needs
to be looked into such as a wig, ribbon,
spools for the hair, and shoes or sandles.
One thing I have found over the con's I
have attended is that simple is hard, or
too simple is best. I'm feeling hampered
by the structure that is supposed to be
helping me, I guess that's why finishing
anything takes so long to properly find.
Sometimes it's not about finding things,
you have to be looking for things to find
them. Often one needs to have things in
front of one's face in such a way to help
or realize that in such a way to remember.
