This costume was made to go to Otakon 2003 with a group of my friends who also dressed as Nadesico characters. The piecing of the black and orange material was difficult since I had to slice up the original pattern to accommodate the different colors, build in a seam allowance for the pieces, then put them back together as closely to the original pattern as I could. I also made my own Nadesico and Nergal patches to go with the costume. All in all, I think it came out pretty well. If I had to do it again, I would have used a heftier interfacing in the collar. ^_~ I also originally used my own hair when wearing this costume, but I couldn't do that in this photo because I've since cut my hair pretty short.
