I was getting tired of the three sasuke variations I had been doing all summer, and wanted something to wear to the ackbarian end of summer picnic. I noticed I had enough heavy white twill left over from time skip sasuke's remade top for otakon to make an anbu vest, and the rest is history.

I sewed most of the vest in about two days (though there was a lot of space between the two days), then finished sewing the straps to the vest and the elastic on the armguards at my friend asuka's house (she has a REALLY nice sewing machine *faints from love*) the day of the cosplay picnic. The sword is a real katana, borrowed from my friend Nick. ^^

I don't really think I'll be wearing this to many cons...if any at all. My cosplay schedule is really full in the near future, and I'm not too heavily invested in the costume since it only cost me $4, for the zipper (the rest of the materials I had on hand as remnants or parts of previous costumes). still, it served its purpose well, is really comfortable, and I can now add another sasuke variation to my c.com account. :P
