Using a gymastics leotard pattern I sewed up the green bodypiece. I had to add a turtleneck to the pattern because I couldn't find just the right pattern I needed. The red gauntlet's Cammy wears was definitely the most difficult piece to make, as it took a lot of creative thinking and my sewing skills at the time were very limited. First I made two red fingerless gloves. For the circular bands I hot glued two pieces of foam with red fabric wrapped tightly around it. Swallowing my pain I sat as the hot glue cooled them into place. For the knuckles I got reaaaally creative and found two giant toy legos meant for toddlers. Sawing off the bottom half and burning little holes in the sides I could attatch them to the gauntlets with red string. Then I coated them in red acrylic paint and a gloss. With that task completed I got a pair of tight dancer's tights (that matched my skintone) and painted green splotches of camoflauge. At the time I had long blonde hair so I didn't figure I needed a wig. I ordered a red beret on eBay and made the red and gold badges (on the beret and leotard) out of sculpy and painted them the appropriate colors. Throw on some red socks and army boots and I was ready to do some street fighting!
