Boogiepop Phantom

Last Updated: 07-21-2008

I thank my mom and grandmother for doing most of the sewing. All of the small details and accessories were put together by me.

Most of the buttons are stray painted pieces of wood or metal button maker bits. The biggest challenge was the floating wrap around the shoulders. I used thick white wire-rimmed ribbon and painted the black triangles onto it. The yin yang in the center is a cd that I covered and also painted. Then one end of the ribbon was glued between the symbol and the cloak, the other end glued to the cloak alone, and the very center was glued in the back to keep it up around my shoulders. Velcro holds the sides together, and this way I can still get out of the outfit easily.
