SailorGaia had this awesome idea about a month before Anime Iowa. She thought that it would be adorable to make school girl versions of the original characters in Final Fantasy 1. She chose the white mage, and since I always liked the black mage's hat, and, of course, any spell caster ^.~, I chose the black mage. The design was made by me and I must say, I'm happy with the result ^^ This is the first thing I've made that I'm completely satisfied with. I'm not self conscious in it and don't have to conveniately cover anything up! it's such a relief!

as for construction, there's not much there. It was molded after a cheerleader pattern and a school girl outfit my sister had. I made the hat in about ten minutes--I was happy that it was so easy and turned out so nice! the wand is a must, considering SailorGaia and I love to terrorize the dollar store looking for fun kid toys--and of course any black mage has a staff ^^;; . It was originally pink, but I spray painted it black, covering up the red light-up heart. Yes, it does light up AND make sounds!! XD I want to expand our group with cranberry, who provided us with a black belt, and hopefully with Frobischer and Sailor Senmurv as the fighter and red mage respectfully. Maybe some day, huh?
