oh god, Nightrunner. One of my favorite book series ever, and I just had to do a coplay of it. I decided on Mardus because he's the cool villian with a cool outfit and well...evil. Evil people are ALWAYS fun to cosplay. I had a VERY rough (aka ghetto) version of this costume worn for Lynn's book signing at San Diego Comic Con '07, and though I wasn't very proud of it (except for my helm) she was very excited and pleased with it, which made me a very happy fangirl. She even had her son take a picture with me and she posted it on her LJ! My signed copy of stalking Darkness even says "Mardus the first!"
As of right now this costume is going through a complete overhaul, new armor and all. Also a new helm will be needed to be made to match. As I'm also doing another Nightrunner Villian I'm planning on presenting the old helm to Lynn. :D
