The costume isn't really that complicated, although I think I made it more complicated by trying too hard to make it right for my first costume. XD;

Admittedly, a lot of it is simply purchased and not altered--The shirt is a plain simple black shirt, black cargo pants, 3/4 sleeve fishnet shirt [thank you ebay], medical-bandages for the wrappings, shoes from ebay, wig from ebay, the 'ai' mark a henna tattoo from InkLink tattoos.

The sash is one, gigantic long piece, nearly 5 yards in length. It's smaller strips of plain-ol red broadcloth sewn together. I'll make a matching white one later. :x

The ah.. brown... gourd... strap thing I custom made to fit me from brown suede. My sewing machine absolutely hated my guts after I was done with that thing--it's 4-layers thick in some areas. xD My friend Zeda helped me with the grommets, and it took 4 or 5 weeks on and off to complete.

I used the leftover suede scraps and custom made an umbrella holster that slings over my back. It came in super handy keeping me out of the bright sunlight, hissss~ XP

The gourd... is actually a real gourd I found on ebay. It used to be a birdhouse, but I filled the holes with insulation-foam, sanded, and painted it. Cork is real too. It's incredibly smaller than it should be but that thing is practically indestructible, it's amazing. I opted for that one to wear to Otakon since it was my first time cosplaying, and I was very afraid of bumping into people with a bigger-sized one on my back and such. And fitting a smaller-sized one on the airplane was much less troublesome. :x

I do plan on making a more accurately sized gourd out of fiberglass eventually, but for now, I just have my mini-gourd.
