This costume was done as a spur the moment kind of thing. At first my friend and I were doing completely different costumes, but after seeing the pictures and trailers we decided to drop our costumes and do these. The coat took atleast 2/12 weeks due to the obnoxious material and lack of time to dedicate in long intervals. I had to add some sort of piping type stitching so that the material wouldn't pucker and look bad. That took a while. The sword was made out of atleast 90% wood. My dad had to help me with the power tools and he constructed parts while I had to go to school for a huge portion of the day. The wig was sepcially ordered from a Japanese website that a friend helped me to get since they unfortunately wouldn't ship to the US. This costume was semi-comfortable to wear and deffinately worth it. :D
