I was deep into FFVII at the time and wanted a quick and easy costume to wear the first night of Otakon, so I bought some comfy red fabric and decided to whip out a Scarlet costume. I had the neckline cut to be a tad more modest than the original design, bought thigh-high pantyhose with lace trim, and had my shoes dyed to match the dress.

A year later, I was able to break out the heels again and nerd around with Kitty and Joe in their Shinra costumes at AN '04. Good times.
