Nothing was done to the white pants and black boots I wear with this costume. The jacket was sewn from scratch - I removed the threads from an old shirt, traced the pieces onto poster-board, added some length to the shapes, and then used that as the pattern to make the jacket. The black top of the jacket was an old black shirt cut to the proper shape and decorated with yellow paint. The two badges were cut from yellow sheet foam, painted to give them the appearance of Rau's badges, and glued to the jacket. The cuffs are pieces of black sock cut to the proper size and trimmed with yellow paint. A pair of whit gloves completes the jacket. The mask is made from white sheet foam. The lenses from an old pair of sunglasses were glued where the eyeholes were, and an elastic band was glued to the mask. Add to that a wig of wavy blonde hair and that's the costume.
UPDATE: I made a pair of white pants from scratch simply so I could say I made most of the costume myself. This was done by taking an old pair of pants, taking it apart at the seams, examining the pieces, and then using them to trace a pattern on to posterboard. I then used this pattern to cut out appropriately shaped pieces of white cloth and sewed them together to make the pants.
