whee~
michael wanted to get a guilty gear group together; ever since i've seen The Gear Project's cos and watched it a little on the arcade, I thought the art style and designs were pretty nice, so i joined in.
BOY WAS I WRONG.
lol, jk. Cat (she is Jam) and I always joke about how the designs suck. They make no sense at all!! WTH, some random black line along the opening of the kimono that just stops...randomly...ya.
I opted for the boob-less version cuz honestly, I don't really look at...that area when I'm looking at girl designs. I just kinda skimmed over them (yes, it's not THAT hard to skim over melons) I just kinda took it as the "female Kenshin" kinda deal.
The claw is my first prop ever! (i think.) I made that out of foam and elmer's glue, (not going to do that again, elmer's sucks to sand down) with daniel's help. :D the sword is my 2nd (started making it after mugen's sword) so it's nice and thin, but it snapped when i opened my car door on the end of the 1st day of the con D: it was such a good sword too. I learned how to wrap the hilt too~
I've made *enough* kimonos in my day, so this wasn't too bad...the black and white material didn't really match, but it worked out, I guess...i made it a little tight, width wise...so the..skirt? part is a little, um, non-widthy than i would want it to be.
The wig, I dearly love. From a white wig with large ringlets to massive FW dying and sharpie dyed straighened and updo wig. As wigs go, this is my pride. I kinda dyed the life out of it, a bit, but it's still okay...ah, the days hunkered under my dorm desk, trying to keep the smell down behind newspapers...
mmm...last thing to say-- the eye's held down with eyelash glue. a bit uncomfortable, but works well.
