This is actually my first cosplay ever and according to who had seen it, it's an amazing first attempt...though I don't really know myself. ^^;;

ceMy mom and I did this in one week (all the notice we had, but man was it fun!) after work and school, I decided on the character on Sunday, got the fabric and everything Tuesday and started making it Wedensday for an event on the Sunday that was coming up. The purple fabric is a bit velvety but not hot or sticky (thank god, but it does get hot when your dancing around with about 60 other people >.>) The head piece is made of really stiff interfacing and the little silver crosses are made of framing border (You know when you get a picture framed and it has a border around the picture made of something like really thick bridtol board?).

The skirt part you can't see in this pic (I'll be putting up another picture of this cosplay once I find a good body shot without my friends in them {don't want to put there pics on the net without asking first}) is made of fabric from old curtains we used to have, as well as the ruffled bit under the designs around the neckline and breast area. There's three layers of lace on the back of the lower half of the dress and the front is covered in and apron like part of the dress that bunches up in two places (my mom came up witha simple and rather ingenius way to do that with a new shoelace O_O it worked perfectly!) and I pull up and tuck two bits of the dress in my panties so it bunches up too.

Now about the accesroies and fine bits! ^-^ The chocker I'm wearing is an heirloom I got from my grandmother when she died, taken off the chain and put on a black ribbon and the earings are mine that I got at "Claire's". The pieces you can't see are two thick chains on the side of the dress (oops, I added one of those later with the golden heart shaped box that plays a part in the story, but I'll explain that too.) one has a black cross like piece that I think pulls the whole costume together very nicely (mom came up with that one too, she's uber-fantastically-good at costumes, I hope I'm as crazy good as her some day!! ^-^) and the other has a heart shapened box painted gold with little red painted on gemy-thingys and a shiny heart on the cover of it.

The thing that caught some people up in my costume, so I'm told, was the thread work around my angel sleeves and the breast neckline piece. Sorry you can't see the sleeves or the rest very well, I did a photoshoot (My mom has two jobs, one of them is that she's a profesional photographer {thought she won't admit it} so she gets me in every so often for shoots and one was done in my Ai costume) so I'll have to see if I can get them off her Jump Drive and onto my computer.

Well that's all for now! Hope the length isn't a turn off for people who would read it otherwise...>.<;;

buh bye!

P.S: Sorry for spelling errors >.< It's 3 in the morning now...
P.S #2: I don't know how to get pictures up! So I'm going to have to figure this out >.<;;
