Ran was a ghetto "Iron Chef" cosplay -- a bunch of us were going to crash a friend's party, and I suggested we go in costume. We scrounged around for spare fabric, coats, hats, etc. and in under twenty minutes had assembled three (surprisingly recognizable) costumes from Crashers, Knight & Ran -- Ran, Bishop and Pawn, complete with scarves. I led the way, flashing my (real and very sharp) katana, and we announced ourselves as the "Party Crashers." The joke was lost on most of the partygoers, but the one guy who understood it fell on the floor laughing...
