This costume may just overtake Kuro as my favorite. It is so awesome. HIM is such a great villain.

The dress is a simple sheath- I used the same basic design that I used for Mandy (just made the skirt flare out less). The boa at the bottom was handsewn on. The giant belt buckle is a 99-cent picture frame, spraypainted gold. For Wondercon 2007, I cut up an extra pair of red tights and attached them to a camisole to cover my arms, but for Anime Expo, I upgraded to a leotard.

The "wig" is laughable. It's strips of felt handsewn to a wig cap. I couldn't think of a way to make his hair as flat as it needed to be with a wig. It's also not entirely finished in the back, but it's covered up by the neck boa.

My lobster claws are plush and soft. They're not quite as big as I would like, but I'm reasonably happy with them. There was... just far too much handsewing involved in this costume.

I love the reaction I get in this costume. "OMG IT'S HIM!!!!" And the fact that I can pull any ol' crazy-ass pose and expression and have it look in-character. I love all the makeup- the red face paint, the black lipstick, the fake eyelashes, goatee, and ear tips. I look mad crazy in it all. And I love it.
