This project is basically a year in the making, and was originally planned for Anime Central 2006. Since The Blues Brothers are essentially the inspiration for The Aoi Sisters (Anime Central's mascots, Jaye and Elle), it seemed fitting to bring back to life one of Chicago's legendary characters. (At least one Jake and Elwood Blues have been sighted, but I'm more close to resembling John Belushi as Jake.)

The basic suit, while not completely accurate, is a re-purpose from my suit for my Black Jack costumes, with a basic white dress shirt, the proper fedora hat, proper shoes, a thin black tie (Acquired for another cosplay project in Feb. 2007), a non-working Timex digital watch (Since I don't have a 1970s model red-LED digital watch, one of my Ironman Triathalon models with a depleted battery will fill in for a replacement.), and of course, Ray-Ban's latest iteration of their Wayfarer sunglasses. I might as well get this costume out of the way before I drop enough weight to revise it to cosplay as Elwood Blues.

This project is a "bought item/found item" costume, and a rush project for the 2007 season.
