Shino's father (Shibi-sama, or "Gen" in America) from Naruto. ^_^ I wanted to do a REALLY TRUE to the character design (with as limited as my image resources are... X3). I think I pulled it off pretty well. :) I am happy with it!

I made everything except for the pants.

As with most of my costumes, I was obsessive with accuracy...every detail right down to the glasses dangle and the bandages on the ankles (Yup that's real sport tape on my skin).

The gourd (scaled down slightly from real life size... XD I didn't want TOO big a ball sticking off my back) is paper mache` over a skeleton of thin wire mesh, Great Stuff(tm), and two interlocked discs of styrofoam and one small slot of wood gorilla glued in so it could be screwed to the strap secrely and no stress would go on the paper mache` shell. YES the cork is REAL, and it fits into the top mouth (molded from paperclay and mache` pulp = STRONG) like a cork in a wine bottle. There is a pocket inside to put stuff in so I use it as a purse. X33 The strap buckle is made from a VW seatbelt, which also makes it funtional, you push in the center of the circle to make it unlatch Hehee!!

The coat is very comfortable and soft. It doesn't have the weight of the Shino coat (thinner liner material) but is a little more comfty I think cause the collar is wired so it stays OUT away from my face. The lining is completly royal purple, but is different than the purple shown on the outside / collar liner cause that fabric was EXPENSIVE (and not as smooth as I'd like aganist my skin, giving me more incentive to not use it for all the liner). It has nice princess seams in the back (gives the waist some definition) that I'll need to get a pic of sometime.

Lastly, the facial hair makeup was done with Snazaroo facepaints and a stipply paintbrush. Mmm...yummy.
