Ryuk is my favourite anime character so I just had to cosplay as him and bring him justice for being so awesome!

Since many people have asked, I made the mask using a basic plastic mask from a craft store and building Ryuuk's face out of modelling foam right over top, then used paper mache to solidify and smooth it out. Also put on a few strands of fake hair to make the V-shape on his forehead.

The shoulders are made out of artificial spider plants and simply spray painted black and attached to shoulder pads.
