I, along with many others, grew up watching Sailor Moon. However, while others favored the teenaged characters, I have always identified with the smart, spunky, and cotton-candy pigtailed heroine, Rini. She reminded me so much of myself as a kid, and I still respect her spirit when I watch the show as an adult. So when it came time to make the obligatory Sailor Senshi costume, I immediately gravitated towards Chibimoon. I chose to make her Super Sailor form because I love the combination of colors (it is less overwhelmingly pink than her regular Senshi form), and because this is the outfit she wears in the Pegasus arc of the SuperS season -- my favorite Rini-related storyline.
Despite the fact Chibi was a real project to make, I'm pretty proud of her and learned a lot. She's a lot of fun to wear at cons despite being difficult to get on, and I enjoy being one of the lesser-cosplayed Sailor Senshi.
