From 2007.
A friend of mine had been bugging me to do a Wonder Woman costume for ages - I finally relented, mostly since I realised if I went ahead and made one, I'd be the same age that my mother was when she made a Lynda Carter-inspired Wonder Woman costume in the early 80s. I thought that was cool, LOL.
I bought the corset online, as well as the star-spangled bottoms :) I also found the boots online, so that was a majority of the work right there!
My fiance did the metal work for me. The "WW" eagle and the belt he cut out and sanded, and figured out how to attach them to the corset so they'd still be removeable. The belt and eagle were both based on the Alex Ross version of Wonder Woman. He also made the tiara, and initially we couldn't find a star the right shape and big enough for the tiara. A few months after I debuted this, we finally found one and replaced it. He also cut the height of the belt down a bit before Dragoncon.
The only upgrade I really want to make at this point are my gauntlets. This costume is so much fun to wear!
I wore this to MidSouthCon 2007, MTAC 2007, Adventurecon 2007, Dragoncon 2007 and Halloween 2007.
