i really love Miyazaki's work and Spirited Away is one of my all time favorite movies. for the Spring Gathering, the three of us who host it were discussing a sort of themed costume plan and we came up with the Miyazaki girls! :D i jumped at the chance to creat Chihiro's outfit since she's such a fantastic character!

looking for the fabric was well, interesting... my mom actually ended up finding it for me XD right when i was about to go totally insane too! the costume was then created within two days after.

i really want to redo my wig for this costume by making the bangs actually stay put and the ponytail thicker. i also want to create her sneakers since i ran out of time to do so for the first time i wore this costume. i also need to find better face makeup! >.<

i also need to work on posing for this character - i just have such a hard time making this costume look flattering in pictures (and looking like a little kid!)

haha, i also think im the tallest Chihiro like EVAR! (im a little taller than 5'8'') so its really funny XD
