I consider this as the first "real" cosplay, as it's the first costume I actually wore to a con. :) Also my first con. It relates to my webcomic, Shy, in which we have humanoid shyguys. My coauthor, old beta reader, and a fan all dressed up as shyguys for the con. It was a lot of fun, and a very easy to wear costume.

I made everyone's robes from a McCall's pattern (I think) with minor modifications to make the sleeves longer and the hood pointy. The belt is from Junefaire, and the geta I bought there, since mine were broken. I commissioned the mask from Facing Costumes and they did a great job on it. :) I also wore this for dP Halloween in 2006.
