This was supposed to be done for AX '07, but Murphy conspired against me and things just didn't work out. I got halfway through the basic sewing on the dress, realised I just didn't want to try to figure out how to make the sleeves look the way I wanted, and said, "Screw it!"

Only finished because my brother made big puppy-dog eyes at me. Kind of half-arsed, in the end, but I figure if I have enough fun wearing it I'll remake it. And I feel guilty for even thinking that -- it's the first time in an age I haven't been completely neurotic about a cosplay.

Materials: white linen-rayon blend fabric, black Procion dye (it was amazingly hard to find enough black fabric that was appropriate -- stupid craft store fail), hidden snaps because I didn't want to argue with my buttonholer. Hair cover to be made from a snood and an inner muslin liner. Actual clock key and random necklace, fwee, and old black dress boots I've had for eons.

Took the dress in to better fit the corset at Sakuracon '09, and then ripped those seams out and redid it for the NorCal summer cosplay picnic later that year. I think it's going to stay in its current state; I'm content with that. Just need to reglue the shoe where it came apart (serves me right for doing rolls while in cosplay!).
