Wow, this was fun! This is my first real cosplay, and there was a lot of good and a lot of bad. The good? I /loved/ this. There weren't many problems with the construction- it went together easily and didn't fight with the sewing machine. The only real problem with construction was the amount of fabric! I think the whole thing was near twenty yards, most of it skirt. The pink underskirt is two ful circles, and the black skirt is one and a half; the sleeves are all full circles. The top was a pattern from a medieval dress that had the same bodice shape as Sakura's.

My group and I did all of our accents in the characters' colors, since as of right now, these costumes only appear in the manga. The final result was quite pleasing, I think, and I love this costume.

Downsides? Definitely the wig. I was doing some last-minute trimming a few days before the con and snipped off one of my long tendrils. I also didn't get the collar or headpiece quite done (the embroidery on both and the long part of the collar,) but like how it looks with the cameo. We were also unable to get my belts finished by this con, but will have them the next time I wear this costume.
