Description

Well, this one was very tricky for me, since I still lack 1337 skillz with a sewing machine.
The most difficult part was figuring out just how to make most of the pieces, as CLAMP isn't well-known for making costumes that obey the laws of physics (or something like that). The bodice was pretty easy, and the hat ame out better than expected. I couldn't see past the top of the white skirt in the picture (of which there is only one, I'm afraid), so I had to decide whether it was a huge skirt, or huge poofy pants. I did the skirt because, frankly, the pants would have been more difficult. Shame.
Anyway, the cuffs and sleeves and collar were all tricky but doable. The sash turned out great, I think. I wish the smaller jester-like skirt would have turned out better and perhaps I could have sewed it onto the sash so it could have stayed up better. But the whole thing came together rather nicely for the amount of time I spent on it.
When I debuted it, I had no wig and used a portion of my real hair sticking out of the cap. At the moment, though, I just had my hair cut and it happens to be like Sakura's, so if I can keep it this way it promises to be much better with the costume the next time I take pics. Hooray!
As to redoing, that's a definite no. Not that it would be terribly agonizing, but I have other versions of Sakura I want to do, so there's not much point in recreating this particular one.
