My first cosplay! Unfortunately, I didn't sew it myself. I was commissioned by a local wedding dress seamstress. She did a fantastic job!
I did, however, make the Shikon no Tama necklace. I found fang-like seashell beads at a local bead store which were perfect for the necklace. The only hard part was what to make the actual crystal out of. I was completely stumped! I finally had the idea of getting one of the large pony-tail holders that have the two balls attached and used one of those. I painted a white one with pink, metallic fingernail polish. I was pleased with the outcome. ^_^
The Kikyou I was trying to portray was Kikyou before she died, before Naraku killed her. Thus the reason I carried around a whole shikon no tama.
