Mobile Fighter G Gundam

As of this point, this has probably been my most successful outfit at a con. ...Given it was actually a last minute idea (sort of) that's pretty funny to me.

When I'd learned one of the guests of honor was Yasuhiro Imagawa, I wanted to try and do something appropriate (I'd considered earlier either Taisou from Giant Robo (which I still plan to do one of these days) or Shocking Alberto)
After trying to figure for time and budget, Stalker seemed like a good idea. Not only is it a basic outfit that's still distinctively recognizable, it's just enough of a humorous nod to make it all the more worth it.

Oddly, the challenge with this suit was finding the red parts...even when you look in thrift stores, finding red jackets and pants in mens' sizes is a rather strange event (I almost wound up using a pair of women's pants because they were closer to the jacket's shade...however, given the difference in was far less cruel, to myself and those around me, to use the brighter red men's pants.)
In the end, the pants were a different shade, but nevertheless, the outfit still turned out pretty well.
...and the desired effect was well worth it when it came to the test.
Imagawa himself was quite amused by seeing someone dressed as Stalker and actually asked for a picture of it ( well as a picture with me, which hopefully will be added soon, but I digress.)

Sore de wa...Gundam Fighto...READY...GO!!!!
