This was my first real cosplay.

I have been such a bg fan of the LoZ series since it came out for Nintendo all those years ago. For a long time I always said it would be cool to create a Link costume but I never did anything about it. Then out of nowhere I started getting the urge to do it. Then the urge became strong.

Link Version 1: I put together a costume that granted wasnt great. First attempt, done really quick for Halloween. It stayed that way for a few months and some cons that were within those months as I worked on some things and had some things made.

Enter Link Version 2: MUCH better cosplay with the new tunic and stuff but still missing a few things like my ears and a wig and such. Ears were bought which made it look a lil better. Then with the help of a friend a wig was aquired and it seriously pulled the cosplay together and made it look great.

I have such a fun time while in this cosplay because I love the game and character and love taking pictures for people. And I usually dont mind taking special request shots like poses or something. But find it funny when someone will ask me to do one of Link's moves from Smash Brothers or something just for the heck of it :p

I am usually asked about the Ordon Sword that I have. I made it entirely myself and it is 100% wood. Carved and created from two pieces of wood. Then sanded down and painted. I really like how it looks a lot. And wood work isnt the easiest thing and can be hard work (especially when you dont have all the tools to make it easy) but I like the duribility of the wooden prop over a kind of plastic or foam. At least for swords.

All in all I love this cosplay and have so much fun with it. I'm looking to add on a few things here and there. Maybe create some of his other weapons or something.
