I made this dress right after sneak-preview pics of the Two Towers came out, so it's not exactly accurate to the actual costume. After the movie came out and more detailed pics were released, I saw how much I had actually missed. But, I was very pleased with it, and it served me well for several years.
The sleeves are cotton velvet, since that's why I had on hand, but the body of the dress is silk velvet. The paisley was found at Best Fabrics in Dallas, which is an awesome wholesaler.
