I have NO idea what possessed me to do this costume. It wasn't insanely hard, but it was definetly a step higher then my previous costumes.

The clasps broke during a photoshoot in Kariya Park, (I didn't fall out of a tree... xD), so I remade them once more for Anime North.

NEVER, EVER, EVER, USE MODEL MAGIC FOR THIN, NON GEOMETRIC SHAPES. Or anything small. IT'S THE DEVIL'S CREATION.

So, one of my '8' clasps and both small clasps on the bottom layer are le broke. T__T; Never again. And it wasn't like I fell out of a tree or anything, they just broke! xD;

Anyways, even in the late spring heat, this was a fun costume to wear. I got lots of hugs, and got my coat stolen several times. ;o;

The underlayer was nothing special; an altered T-Shirt pattern for Fai's tail and a buncha bias tape. The straps on my first attempt were too thick, so I remade them for Anime North- then I went and burnt a hole in the front of the shirt, (I didn't relize the fabric was a plastic blend) so I refused to take the middle layer off. xD

The middle layer was done a week before con 'cause I'm lazy. x: I purposely make it super thin material... if it was any thicker, I would have died in the heat. I sewed the fun fur on by hand, and with a little help from my good friend hot glue. xD I used spare white material for the bit of white on the sleeves, with black bias tape. The belty thing was black rayon, (dumb on my half) with Model Magic attatched to it.

The outer most, bathrobe layer was FUN to make. It was the first thing I ever used lining in, and it was way easier then I thought it would be. I sewed the design on it, too, which was dumb 'cause I thought the fabric wouldn't fray, but it started to. <.<; But if I hadn't put lining, it would have been on UGLY coat. xD

The pants were a fake leather; mainly because I had bought it for my Tifa costume but found other material I liked better. I also liked some of the Fai cosplays where his pants weren't just matte black, so I decided on this. : D

The gloves were just my hand traced out and spandex. I thought it wouldn't work, but... it did. >D Just 'cause it was spandex.

Shoes were a Value Village find, with black shoe polish to make them nicer looking.

Wig was simple to style, although I didn't do a super good job on it.

I probably won't wear it ever again, but, oh well! xD

Note: In some pictures, my collar's flipped down on one side. >.< WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME?!

I also lined the main coat with white, not relizing it was blue untill after the job. S: My baaaad.
